Eta Zeta    The University of Kansas

The Eta Zeta Chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi was colonized at the University of Kansas on May 7th, 1977. Kappa Kappa Psi is an Honorary Band Fraternity that "promotes the advancement of college and university bands through dedicated service and support to bands." In 1977 the Director of Bands at the University of Kansas was Robert E. Foster, and currently the Director of Bands is Dr. Paul Popiel.

Kappa Kappa Psi promotes leadership in the band programs at KU and supports them through service projects. Social recruitment events include: a Kickball Game and Cookout, Pumpkin Carving, Christmas Cookies, Kappa Tie-Dye and a trip to Gary's Berries Pumpkin Patch/Corn Field. A community service program that Kappa Kappa Psi participates in is Natural Ties where we support a mentally disabled individual and take them to social events each week.
