ALUMNI

Letter From the President

Welcome alumni and guests! My name is Taylor and I am the current president of the Eta Zeta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi. I want to start off by thanking anyone who has been a part of our chapter and thank you for visiting our new website. We would not be who we are today without your contributions.
In the past couple of years, our chapter has been working to improve in the following areas: membership, recruiting, fundraising, and service. As this year is progressing, I am glad to say that every one of those goals has been met. We just recently initiated thirteen new members, more than doubling our chapter, all thanks to the wonderful recruiting jobs from our current brothers. Also, with a more organized service recording system, more people are putting in more service hours than in the past. We have also been working with our local Buffalo Wild Wing’s and Fuzzy’s Tacos to raise money for any upcoming projects we may take on.
Looking forward, I would like to have our chapter keep progressing as we are now. I would also like to strengthen our relationship with other brothers and alumni. Feel free to contact us, visit the website often, or email us and we would love to keep you up to date and chat.
AEA,
Taylor

The Chapter Today

This year, the Eta Zeta chapter placed a larger emphasis on recruiting, strengthening ties between the other Greek organizations throughout the School of Music, and strengthening our knowledge of Kappa. We almost doubled our size again with this year’s class of new members. Our Vice President of Membership Laura Gentry helped gather many new recruits this year who are dedecated and upstanding members of the band.. The new members completed their final degree and became full members on December 11, 2015, but we plan to continue to further our education by holding education classes in the Spring semester as well as in the Fall.

We have also been scheduling events and activities with TBS along with PMA and SAI. We held the MJ Block party with the help of all the organizations and went to powerplay and had Thanksgiving dinner with TBS! We plan on holding another SOMGA formal event this Spring with the hopes of making it even bigger as well as planning other events with all the organizations!

Kappa is also planning on sending more members to the Midwest District convention in hopes of strengthening our relationship with other chapters and the executive officers and to futher expand our knowledge of the chapter and to gather new ideas to make our chapter of Kappa even better!
