Fall Semester 2013
10/11/13
Gary's Berries
The chapter took the prospective members to Gary's Berries Pumpkin Patch for a recruiting event. While there, the group played on a giant trampoline, took a hay ride, and traversed the infamous corn maze in teams, guys verses girls.

Kappa Kookies
The chapter gathered together to enjoy decorating and eating cookies shaped like kappas and psis while socializing and watching movies during this dual social and recruiting event.

Chili Feed
The chapter hosted a fundraising competition for the Marching Jayhawks. We had seven members of the Marching Jayhawks participate in a chili cookoff with two prizes. Kristin DeWitt won the Popular prize, voted on by the band members, and Lauren Hammond won the Judges prize, voted on by our three judges; Dr. Smith, Drumline Instructor, and Drum Major James Austin.

De Soto Outreach
The chapter, prospective members, and other members of the KU Marching Band traveled to De Soto, KS to play with the DeSoto High School Marching Band and promote the KU Marching Band and Kappa Kappa Psi.

Thanksgiving
The chapter and prospective members gathered with members of Tau Beta Sigma to celebrate Thanksgiving. We were joined by NAME NAME, the Midwest District Representative, with whom the chapter met with after the feast.

Christmas Party
The chapter and prospective members held a White Elepant Chrismas Party and were joined by members of Tau Beta Sigma, Sigma Alpha Iota, and Phi Mu Alpha.

Kappa Karving
The chapter and prospective members carved pumpkins and socialized during this social and recruiting event.
12/1/13
First Degree
The prospective members took the first step towards membership. After degree, the prospective members literally unwrapped their bigs after finding a clue inside of a balloon that led them to their big.
Spring Semester 2014

Second/Third Degree
The prospective members went through the second and thrid stages of degree and became full members of the Eta Zeta chapter of Kappa Kappa Psi!

Scrapbooking and KU Watch Party
The chapter made the 2014 scrapbook for the Midwest District 2014 Convention while watching the KU away game at Oklahoma State.

Kappa Kampout
The chapter will go on a campout in a brotherly bonding and social event.

Fuzzy's Fundraiser
The chapter had a fundraiser at Fuzzy's Tacos in Lawrence to raise money for convention, social events, and to help the bands. The chaper made $60 from this event.

Big Event with Tau Beta Sigma
The chapter participated in the Big Event to help out the city of Lawrence with our sister sorority Tau Beta Sigma. We helped a few elderly residents remove tree limbs and leaves from their yards.

Fundraiser at Orange Leaf
The chapter will have a fundraising night at Orange Leaf in Lawrence, where we will recieve 20% of all tickets when customers mention Kappa Kappa Psi.

Kappa Fondue
The chapter got together for a social event where we made fondue and watched the Winter Olympics and YouTube videos.
4/25/14
Relay for Life
The chapter will participate in the Relay for Life at the Univerisity of Kansas to help raise money for the American Cancer Society. The chapter will compete as a team.
Birthday Party
The chapter will attend a birthday party for the Eta Zeta Chapter and the TBS chapter at KU. Members from both chapters will be there and Alumni are more than welcome to come join in the festivities.

Fall Semester 2015
8/4/15
MJ Block Party
Kappa members along with TBS, Phi Mu and SAI members held a block party event for the Marching Jayhawk members to relax during a hard and hot week of marching band camp. Events held were a movie (the Avengers), karaoke, a calkwalk, trivia, a photo booth and we also had free cookies for everyone donated by Eileen's Cookies!

Wiffle Ball
A heated game of wiffle ball followed by a game of baseball was played in this social event!

Heart of America
Kappa members volunteered to help out during the 24th annual Heart of America competition where some helped park busses, sell tickets, run scores, helped with media and ushered bands!

OSU Visit
Kappa visited the Oklahoma State chapter while on a trip with the marching band to perform with them at their football game! After the game we met some amazing people and and sang the Kappa song together with the Tau Betas and even had a battle of the bands between our marching bands!

Kappa Hangout
Kappa members met and chilled at an apartment!There were awesome snacks and drinks and it was tons of fun!

Kappa Movie Night
The chapter met with potential members to watch Space Jams and to eat some snacks and socialize. Some members played a pretty hard core game of ping pong as well!

Scavenger Hunt
Groups of potential members and current members headed out in search for items around Lawrence. Some of the items included were a deck of cards, picture in front of an executive board members house, and a picture with a TBS member!

TCBY Fundraiser
Kappa invited anyone and everyone to share a bowl of frozen yogurt and other treats a TCBY in lawrence! 10% of the proceeds went to Kappa so we can continue to support our beloved Marching Jayhawks!

1st Degree
The perspective members took the first step in their journey at 1st degree! Afterward they found a puzzle piece in a pile and went and matched it to their big's piece!

Joint KKY/TBS Thanksgiving
We invited the Midwest District Member-at-Large Ben Rupe to join us in having a wonderful holiday dinner! Members were stuffed with Turkey, mashed potatos, stuffing, green bean casarole and pumpkin pie!

Kappa Kookout
Members of the band were invited to eat some grilled hotdogs and hamburgers, tie dye clothing and play some kickball on the marching band practice field in this recruitment event.

Joint KKY/TBS Powerplay
Kappa and Tau Beta traveled to Kansas City to socialize and have a great time at powerplay! There were games such as lazer tag and whirlyball!

2nd and 3rd Degree
The new members finished the path to becomming full members of Kappa, we enjoyed taking lots of pictures, handing out gifts and we celebrated with our traditional dinner at Chili's!
